Colleen Rainer-
Owner, Designer, & Horticulturist
Colleen studied horticulture at the University of Illinois and spent the last seventeen years working in the landscaping industry. Fresh out of college, she landed her first job as a plant buyer for a reputable landscaping firm in Illinois purchasing local plant life for commercial and residential projects. She then went on to work for the Chicago Botanic Gardens and then the Tucson Botanical Gardens. At the Chicago Botanic Gardens, At the Tucson Botanical Gardens, Colleen’s role as the Development Director allowed her to plan and coordinate fundraising events. Colleen specializes in interior and exterior garden spaces, water features, drip irrigation and contemporary floral arrangements.
Alexandra Peck-
Co-Owner, Designer, & Botanist
Alex studied Botany and Organismal Biology at the University of Arizona and has spent the last three years working with Colleen on Interior Plant design and care. During college she spent her time at the UofA CEAC greenhouses working on drought tolerant sustainable agriculture, helped establish and curate the Campus Arboretum database, lead an ecological survey project at the Desert Lab on Tumamoc Hill, and worked in a genome lab at the BIO5 institute, extracting and analyzing plant/fungi DNA. Finally working her way into plant design and care, she currently helps Colleen manage and design all of the accounts, and visits them weekly to care and maintain the plants..
